The Jena is a medium-weight oboe reed suitable for many players from the early stages up to highly accomplished musicians. The medium gouge and a standard U-scrape produces an oboe reed with a good balanced scrape combining warmth and responsiveness. The shape is our narrow ND shape - a carefully designed curve giving good pitch stability yet with plenty of breadth in the upper blades to provide the feel of a wider oboe reed.

Overall these features combine to offer a medium-weight oboe reed with a warm fairly centred and focused tone and excellent pitch stability.
