The DeVere (colour pale brown) is a heavy-weight oboe reed recommended for experienced players. The medium gouge combines with a thick U-scrape to give an oboe reed with plenty of heart and substance for the accomplished embouchure to work with.
The shape is our narrow throat shape with a specially reduced volume in the throat region (just above the binding). This has been designed to help those players who find our usual narrow shape reeds wallow around 2nd octave F# - G# but who dont want to go to the extremes of the very narrow shaped oboe reeds. This shape also has the advantage of offering much enhanced projection.
Overall these features combine to offer a substantial oboe reed with a rich dark very focused tone.

Delivery
We use Royal Mail First Class post. Combining our order processing time with time in the post it is normal to expect the reeds within roughly a week from ordering. It is best to plan ahead and order well before you have completely run out of reeds!
